The visit on this day was very quiet, but to be fair, the weather wan't lending to much, and most wildlife was at rest, but it was still an enjoyable day, after the previous days torrent, and unearthly winds....
This visit followed my visit to the Spinnies and watching the heron grab the ell for its lunch; see post The Spinnies, Aber Ogwen, Bangor 02 Nov 2019.
However, there were autumnal scenes to enjoy, the trees turning yellow, brown and whatever other colours, plus, the Conwy Estuary that runs alongside was becalmed, into glass like waters....
The glass like water of Aber Conwy
Autumnal colours around the reserve
And a rainbow
One happy magpie, which seemed to be searching for somewhere to bury its prize....
Common scoter....
More autumnal colours
I don't know if it was the staff or visitors that placed the plastic ducks in the puddle, but I thought it was a neat idea.
And dusk over the estuary
There's always something to see, no matter what.
Unknown said:A lovely set Mike with gorgeous reflections and autumnal colours; 2nd yellow duck must be one of the diving species lol
Thank you Hazel, the water was unusually calm, and the yellow duck, that or it was drunk!
