Good photos

1 Red-eyed (as you say)
2 & 3 Common Darter (yours has the leg stripes that Alan's does not have)
4 Blue-tailed Damsel
Alan beat me to it with his photos, but these are the Ruddy Darters I got last week. It's an established colony so they are already up in the North West in Lancs, although this is one of the few local spots I know of where they are resident. I saw at least half-a-dozen of them but they were all yellow so probably recently emerged.
And a close-up as Darters don't seem to mind posing for photos, unlike most other dragons
I barely had to move to get another close-up, this time an Emerald Damsel - I love their metallic paint job

Thank you Tony.
I did scour the book and Google....
Folks, a fabulous collection of dragons & damsels one and all.
I would never have seen this Common Darter in the grass if it hadn't moved. It's well-camouflaged clinging to … vetch, is it.
Impossible to get a full body shot of it down in the grass, but it let me get some good close-ups and I like the colour of the flower reflecting in the wings
And this is a shot I've wanted to get … a real close-up of one of the best and most colourful pairs of eyes in the business.
Absolutely fabulous photos folks, and the detail is brilliant.
Here is my meagre contribution of banded damsels, on a recent visit to Middleton Lakes.
And a futile attempt at catching one in flight with those banded wings open...
Beautifully sharp photos, Mike. Banded Demoiselles are gorgeous little insects and you've captured them really well
