A Spring tide and other stuff

So, someone (who shall remain nameless) said they expected me to provide photos of a Hen Harrier and Stonechat. A tall order, perhaps, but then, they did know I was going to Parkgate on the Dee estuary for the Spring tide.

I did see 2 male Hen Harriers and they are truly fabulous birds to watch but I'm afraid I only came back with a much-cropped, long distance record shot of one causing consternation in a Pink-footed Goose. Still, I don't think we've had a male Hen Harrier on here recently, so here it is.

Mr. Stonechat was more confiding.

As was Mrs. S

There were also Marsh Harriers and a Kestrel out hunting over the marsh and 3 SEO's showed very briefly, but only just enough to go and sit half-hidden in the marsh out of photo range. Anyway, that's me covered Slight smile

Elsewhere, the Dunnocks are showing off on top of the brambles instead of skulking about in them!
