Flock of approx. 20 Waxwings in Keswick, yesterday (14th Dec).
What a wonderful sight, thanks for the lovely photos Anna, always special to see Waxwings.
Thanks Hazel, they are gorgeous aren't they?
Lovely to see and let's hope there are more than 20 as there's an awful lot of Rowan trees in Cumbria for them to get through and I'd like to see some, too. I'm not sure there are enough berries left locally to tempt them, though.
How lovely for you to see them Anna, I have a contoneaster that is laden with lovely red berries, so you could sent them up here! They are such striking birds.
They are stunning aren't they? I hope you get to see some on your Cotoneaster!
The Blackbirds have already stripped the Rowans in my garden, seems like a popular tree for hungry birds Nigel. Hope you get to see them at some point.
