You're welcome
Hopefully the newly emerging Bee Bumbles will stand more chance of survival now the weather is more clement ... certainly no shortage of these & Lesser Celandine in my garden to feed them
Bit of an explosion in pond Snail numbers but first time I have ever seen their eggs

That's an interesting snail with eggs shot. I just assumed they deposited them like most garden snails.
This shield bug popped up at Bempton Cliffs yesterday. I've not checked its full ID but I expect it's a common one - I do have a better shot for ID purposes but I liked this dramatic angle better!

Pond snails usually deposit them on underwater plant leaves ... maybe I was just lucky to catch this one with it's jellified cluster!
Maybe a Hawthorn shieldbug Nige but would have to see it's back to be sure ... super pose!

I think you're probably right with that ID.
There were also zillions of these and you can probably see why! I loved the way the female was just running about as if nothing interesting was going on! Someone told me they were Pea Weevils (or Pea-leaf Weevils) which seems reasonable.
Ooh, love your Shieldbug, Nigel. What a cracking macro shot.
Lurve is definitely in the air for the weevils and everything else at the moment. Don't think I've ever (knowingly) seen one.
