Well done Wendy, I must admit there are some that seem to fall between the two, so best to get it checked out!
Best wishes

If ever it stops raining & maybe lucky enough to get another, I will definitely pot it for close scrutiny!

I can see i'll have to send you some more Wendy, my HHM have to visit other flowers as I've cut all the big blooms off & the smaller one's don't have much on. Standby for reinforcements! LOL
We had a family visit to RSPB Saltholme today and we were shown this large moth on a brick wall. I came back a looked it up and I believe that its a Red Underwing.
Along the paths, there were lots of Cinnabar Caterpillars

Lucky you WE, you should have tickled it gently for a view of it's lovely underwing!

Not going to last much longer H, we're down to tiddly flowers now but second flush of Red Valerian is proving popular, they love those almost as much!
We had 2 Convolvulus hawk-moths around the "Belle de nuit" (Four o'clock flower) last night, I tried to get some good photos but most were off the screen before I pressed the button! I managed one in the bottom RH corner that I've squared off
then in the moth trap this morning this lovely Eyed Hawk-moth
I put it in a bush for the photo! The numbers are going down now but still had 45 species this morning. It's due to be warmer tonight so I'm off to the reserve to try my luck!
Oh fabulous H, my Mirabilis still to produce flowere yet, am hoping they'll be out in time as I see Convolvulus is already in the Country!
Did have this lovely new Angle Shades last night ...
Still there this morning so checked & it's female ... popped in jar to try for eggs ... transferred her to prepared pot & lo & behold!! too late, she had laid her eggs all over glass jam jar!!! Lol
