Just can't keep those Leighton Moss mallards from mugging anyone with a bag of bird seed. ,,,,,,,,,,

They are so cheeky Hazy, it's a wonder the bag stayed intact. I didn't realise they ate peanuts!!!! Thought their diet was swimming things etc!!!!!

Oh, thanks for the laughs, Hazel, gorgeous Mallards, gotta love 'em, On one of our earliest visits to WWT Slimbridge, that is how I chose which bird to 'adopt'--I was squatting down to hand-feed a few of the birds (with the seed supplied by WWT in small paper bags back in the times when they did that sort of thing) and one cheeky Nene had it's head inside my bag and was gobbling seed from the paper bag which was tucked inside my larger bag. Apparently it had decided I was far too slow in doling out the seed! We then received regular updates on the bird until it died several years later, but at least it had bred and had goslings for a few years before it died. We named him Hughie because of the HU initials on his ring.

What a lovely story Ann, glad Hughie had offspring to carry on his traits. ! the ducks always spot a bag of food from 500 metres and often make me laugh as they come "running up the pathway" towards me; they know a soft touch when they see one. LOL

Thanks, Hazel. I should have added that I only noticed the Nene stealing seeds from my bag because the bag was hanging from my shoulder at the time. The Nene had to stretch up to get its head inside the small paper bag with the seeds inside of my shoulder bag and that made the shoulder bag move. I saw him then and was delighted to see his cheekiness.

LOL Ann, some birds are almost as cheeky (or should that be as clever) as squirrels. ! where there's a will there's a way and they'll find it. !!

Blackbird enjoying a bath on the pond fountain. The clicking noise is the autofocus following the subject and adjusting the focus. Poor quality due to fimed from inside the kitchen.

My videos might or might not be on YouTube but im very good at filming and takeing pictures unless I have a unlucky day for photography and im good at catching animals that move or birds that fly on film cause im usualy quick or observant enough to catch them on film. I usualy take lots of photos and film a lot and might not usualy be as close as yours do you still mind if I send some aswell?
