Hi all. I got a few shots of some Roe Deer when I was out and about today so I wondered if it would be worth starting a thread for Mammals? I'll add the Deer shots along with a few older shots and if anyone else feels like posting their Mammal photos here then please free to do so. :-)
Roe Deer at Aberlady today.
A few older shots now.
A small bwown Wabbit.
An even smaller bwack Wabbit.
And a few Bottlenose Dolphins
My bird photos HERE
Excellent Bob. I saw a hare the other day, it was about 50 yards away and I had my macro lens on ... very useful! ...
lol
This resonates so well with me Billysdad. I had the oposite issue recently. Noticed some vegetation movement, and spotted what i think was a Harvest Mouse, literally no more than 2cm body. Had my 100-500 on and couldn't get far enough away to get shot. By the time i had presence of mind to get the phone out, too late.......again
Some people are born lucky ... Bob that is, not us ....
I have to resort to the phone for a lot of photos :) I could only afford one lens... 100-500mm
I don't think I've actually posted photos here, so to get it book marked, what better than some fallow deer from Charlecote Park, taking in the sun, and grass...
There were some fawns among them, but they were just out of view...

Beautiful I love deer
The obligatory hare and a one eyed roe deer raiding an orchard, shame about the tree in the way. I've seen the deer for a few years and really rises to the challenge... I'm sure it's not easy. He sees off bucks in the local valley and has raised a few fawns,
Very nice Bob
A few red deer on Big Moor this morning and I saw some signs that the rut is just around the corner.
