More fun with the young robins this morning at 7am. I first had a robin land on my hand for mealworms and later I used my old iPhone 5 to take some record clips to show you these bold little robins as I ended up sitting down in the middle of the path handing out mealies lol At one stage whilst videoing some quick footage I had one fledgling sitting on my head as the other took mealies from my hand which was resting on the ground.
This is record video shots and unedited. Sorry I forgot to turn the phone landscape way round - was just so tired I wasn;t thinking !

Lot to learn
@ Jim, glad your accommodation hosts are nice and welcoming, it's certainly been a lovely three day break before we head home later today. We've still not decided where to start this morning; might head to causeway hide and then down to lower but you can be sure we'll be in the cafe later lol
Those shots you got were worth the long decades wait and I'm sure the community members here will appreciate them as much a I did when I saw them on your camera as they are stunning captures.
@ Gaynor, many thanks, the other bird, other than the Nuthatch, was a friendly Marsh Tit. They have a lovely sound and are also busy feeding young. They can't resist mealies either lol
I am back home now and only took three hours :( you might have seen that the M61 was closed so i got off at Preston and headed for Blackburn had to stop off and get a map and a drink and once i got near to Blackburn I knew the way home but it was a drag ) so now i have to get all the pictures off the laptop and put them in the tower, but i will post one from today and you will know what pictures it is its the best shot of this little bird I have ever taken so will download it now from the camera :)
Glad you eventually got home Jim, we heard via the TP on radio that there was a "police incident" and they had closed the M61 in both directions. We were lucky and had a good run down M6 and got home in 1 hr. 20 mins. only 5 mins longer than normal. Enjoy what's left of your birthday and glad you enjoyed your sausage bap brekky and birthday cake afternoon tea :) What are those robin fledglings going to do without Uncle Jim, Uncle Mike and Aunt Hazy lol It's been fun and weather was glorious. Look forward to your special pics :)
Half hid the cam & tripod & ended up with an odd view!! Robin getting better at cramming in the waxworms, unfortunately battery died before he came back for the rest!
Must plug cam back into mains again!

Same story here, but with several dozen Spadgers and Starlings watching every move that the HTR's make. I have to distract the others with mealies and then leave the waxies in a dish for the HTR's. This didn't work earlier this afternoon, as Mrs HTR flew past me and landed on an open mealie pot and started tucking in. After inspecting a packet of cheese, she went back to the mealies and knocked the pot onto the floor! I did film that and will get it on YouTube eventually. It is on Twitter
