  • Wonderful Hazy, what a smashing selection.

    Lot to learn

  • That leg looks rather bad. One of the others has been scrapping by the looks of it.

  • Thanks Gaynor and Paul
@ Paul, the robins are always scrapping lol we've got a couple with battle scars. Not sure what happened with the other robin with it's injured and useless leg - I guess some of the fights get so serious it could have sustained it in a dispute. Thankfully, it is very healthy otherwise and has no trouble flying, finding a mate or eating; most are paired up now and taking multiple mealies away, so much so, I have had to order an extra kilo for today..... and I already buy a kilo a week ! Blackbirds are gathering them up a dozen at a time lol

  • Someone on here once said you can photograph LM Robins with a macro lens. Forget who it was, name begins with a Jim or Jam, something like that. Anyway, here we go.

Yep, you can. This was one from the dipping pool area

  • Not half bad that one Nigel, every feather counted and in the right place.

    Lot to learn

  • Thanks. They do say, the best way to get better quality photos is not a big lens but to just get a lot closer. Mind you, that is a lot easier said than done, unless you've got an LM Robin posing for you!
