Wonderful photo. It would appear that your special Robin is a female. Had it been male, I wonder if any females would have been attracted to it? The fact that the male has recognised her as another Robin is interesting. Can you get photos of the juveniles? That would be good to see.
That's a brilliant pic! It's special enough just to catch the moment of courtship feeding, but even more so when one of the birds involved is a beautiful oddity as well. You can really see the extent of the plumage differences when she's alongside the normal-coloured male. I hope you can get some pics of the youngsters. If any of them are also pale birds, that would suggest that either this is a dominant mutation, or that the male is a carrier of the mutation.
Sensational photo Deano and such an interesting thread. I didn't see your original post for whatever reason but really remarkable that your bird survived and has bonded with a normal Robin! Looking forward to seeing how this develops!
