I wouldn't go as far as common, Linda. I've only ever had 2 appearances in my gardens. Agree sightings in gardens appear to be on the increase, and probably due to, as you say, the drive thru Maccie D lol

As people probably know. This is a female sparrowhawk (we had one in our garden just the other day) - quite rare here - only ever noticed one every 2 years or so.

Has anyone ever seen a male sparrowhawk (I think they are a blue-ish colour)?

I've not seen the male for a few weeks, but I get both male and female in the garden.
