Spring might be around the corner.  Daffs are starting to emerge in road side banks and sheltered corners

On todays weather only if that includes howling gales and lashing horizontal rain - bear and I are just back from a walk and the waterproofs may not have coped with the challenge

Our daffs are starting to show shoots, a bit later than usual, they normally show early December, but this growing season they've held back a month!

The photos were taken a few days back, during the one and only post new years morning sunshine period, that lasted minutes

Lovely photos Mike, those Starling are such greedy feeders, I try to make them clean up from underneath before I fill up the feeders these days. Cheers for the new thread, will have to bookmark it:-)

Hazel, You are back at LM again--lucky you! LM is a wonderful place and your reed photo gives a good sense of the peace and tranquillity there. Love the startled Snipe and Mrs BB in mid-stride. Is that a Marsh Tit on your or Mike's hand? Remind me, have you hand-fed them before? Now, if you can just get that Egret to eat out of your hand...

Jim, Nice to see you. Lovely Goldcrest photo--how did you persuade it to pose and sit still in a spot not hidden by any foliage?! Oh, and there is a thread about a possible meet-up at LM. Hazel and Mike and we have already booked places to stay in the last week of June. Hope you can join the group.
