It was a bright sunny morning as I set off for my second visit to Adwick washlands but gradually got darker the closer I got and I fully expected to get wet, but thankfully the dark clouds never got bad enough to drop any wet stuff.
Not a brilliant day photography wise but still a lovely walk all way around the site
All the Teals on site were too busy feeding to lift their heads up so all the shots ended up like this lol
At the viewing platform was
A Pied Wagtail
A Mallard having a bath
My first Winter migrants..a group of Fieldfares
Plenty of Wigeon on site
and yet again the star of the show was the Little Egret at the side of the main footpath.
Also seen...1 Green Woodpecker, Moorhens everywhere you look lol, loads of Black Headed Gulls, 10+Blackbirds, 4 Wrens , 2 Swans, 10+ Wigeon, 6+ Lapwings, 1 Little Grebe in channel at viewing platform.
Another lovely visit.
next stop Old Moor Friday.
