Today Mon 19th we started the day at Dingle Marsh on the coast between Dunwich and Walberswick. It was a very windy morning with some sea mist and unfortunately it looked quite quiet across the marsh. A few gulls of various model were using the wind to wheel and swoop about.
After walking a kilometre along the path we spotted a few Skylarks, at least 6 flying about with some still singing.
And then we were treated to a mini murmuration of about 100+ Starlings.
After walking a couple of Km's on shingle, I decided it was time to turn around and back to the car, no good for my dicky ankles. So back to Minsmere and its good walking paths.
This fungus has obviously been photo'ed by many visitors as the ground around the tree was quite trampled.
We decided to head to Bittern Hide and Island Mere Hide as we didn't reach this hides on Sun. Bittern hide was empty and quiet. Walking along the path where the adders are often seen we were treated to the most amazing display by 3 Hobbies for about 20 mins. Just fantastic and we slowly acquired a socially distanced crowd.

Carrying on the walk to Island Mere hide there were a few rabbits on Win Hill and Jays and Magpies. Luckily the hide was very quiet people wise. Lots of ducks on the water, Wigeon, Teal, Mallard, Gadwall, Shoveller, Cormorants, Swans and a couple of very distant Marsh Harrier. Low sun by now so most birds in silhouette.
