Was lucky enough to see this beautiful Egret at Mersehead. As feet initially appeared black was not too sure what it was as the Little Egret I had seen previously had bright yellow feet - but now photos downloaded am pretty sure it is a Little Egret - probably a juvenile. It was being harried by a corvid.

Could this be explanation of black feet Maggy?
Hi Wendy, thanks for looking this up and passing it on - very interesting. I think however it is probably a juvenile bird - the RSPB Handbook of Scottish Birds says "immatures lack the plumes and yellow feet and have a dull grey bill".
Lovely photos, Maggy.
Thanks Paul.
