It's that time of the month again where we reflect on the past month at the Weymouth Wetland Reserves.

It has been a great month of both practical work and visitor engagement. The wildlife has also not failed to disappoint!

Notable wildlife sightings this month are the return of swallows and martins, particularly the sand martins seen flying around the sand martin wall from the North Screen. The Cetti's warblers are shouting at all passers-by, as usual for this time of year.

The warden team have been busy maintaining the viewing structures this month. A new viewing area has been created to the right of the Radipole Lake Discovery Centre, once completed, this will be an accessible area for all to enjoy. The duck feeding platform opposite, is being altered and improved, as major support beams are rotten and need replacing. The raised platform a little further down the path at Radipole Lake, has also had improvements to its support frame, meaning it has been opened to the public again.

All of our events are now listed on the Weymouth Wetlands Events page, we are proud of the events programme we have made this year and there are events for everyone to get involved with.
