Looks like you and Limpy had a good day, I have not seen any Avocets yet this year or little terns I think a trip to Dungeness is on the cards. On the last photo I must be blind as i cannot see the Heron just the Cormorant where should I be looking?

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Seems as if you had a good day, Bob is right about the hair/dust fibre, I would try and blow if out with a rocket blower these are cheap 7dayshop.com if this does not do the trick you may have to clean your sensor.

I don't know who reliably informed you but those Godwits are Bar tails- note the back pattern- looks like the flock I watched from Parrinder on 4th May.
