Bird Watching Basics

There's less than 10 days to go before our next event here at Sandwell Valley. Sunday 13th March at 11am is when we kick off with Bird Watching Basics run by one of the most experienced birders here in the Valley, Mike West.

Reviving this very popular event has proved to be a winner. Obviously people remember how good Mike is at getting over the enjoyment of identifying birds of all shapes and sizes. The day will start with a short session in our new SPA building just off Tanhose Avenue before we set off around the reserve putting in to practice what we've just learnt. We will provide binoculars where necessary.

Don't be put off by thinking you'll feel out of place because there's many of us at the same stage of birding. You do not have to be an avid bird watcher to get fun out of the day.

Refreshments will be provided when we return to the SPA to compile our long list of bird spots!
