Very interesting talk about the plans within the next 5 years at Saltholme at my Newcastle RSPB Group this evening and among many big plans, planned for Saltholme within the next 5 years is a very interesting plan to have a submerged hide looking underneath the lake at the fish and other wildlife that are there including any diving particularly from wetland birds including the colony of Common Terns that dive into the water for fish. I don't know if anyone else knows of any other submerged hide in the UK at present.
