I've just noticed that the admission price for non-members, of the RSPB visiting Saltholme by car, has risen from £3.00 to £4.00. If i'm correct this is the first price rise at Saltholme since the reserve opened a number of years ago. I know a price rise always has to happen very occasionly, because of cost. It just shows than an RSPB membership is excellent value for money and helping protect birds and other wildlife.

Ian.
Hi Tommo,
Yes, this is the first time that we've changed our price in the five years that we've been open. As a charity we need to ensure we're covering our costs, so we're having to make a bit of an increase. Glad you feel that it's justified!
It's fantastic value, isn't it. I really should visit more often. The last time was January this year. The cafe is superb too.
