Here are a couple of shots to go with Peters Blog,I took these from the bridge over Greatham Creek not long before the road was closed

  • Thanks - the shots in my blog were taken by our assitant warden Dean, and he had a lot more to do at the time than take photos! So it is great to have these taken with a little more care - they show the flood in detail.

    When the road is open it will be easy to see the height of the water by the tidemark of vegetation along the road embankment.

    Hi Peter, I couldn't believe it when the guys there told me that the bridge had been under a metre of water!,from there I went up to North Gare,and when I came back the road had closed.
