Three Water Pipits have been sighted in the fire station field. They are best looked for from the wooden screen near the Phil Stead hide. It is estimated that only one hundred Water Pipits winter in the whole of Great Britain so it’s great to have them on the reserve.
Act fast if you want to see one however as it won’t be too long before they carry on migrating to their breeding grounds in mountain ranges such as The Alps.
