Popular with visitors of all ages, our Saltholme Wanders are led by a team of expert Guides. Learn about the history of Saltholme and discover what makes it such a special area while you walk among the wildlife and learn fun facts about the creatures you spot. Take a break from the world and get closer to nature inside one of our wildlife viewing hides. Hire a pair of binoculars from the shop and watch for a variety of birds that are embarking on their migrations; some going, some coming and some just stopping off en route. We have Guides on hand to help you see them all in their wonderful array of shapes, sizes and colours (that's the birds, not the Guides). Enjoy a wholesome freshly made meal in our brilliant cafe or as a special treat, there's plenty of gooey tray bakes to choose from. If you have youngsters with you and they still have some energy to burn off burn off, there's always our adventure play area. Entrance to Saltholme is just £5 per car, RSPB members get in free and, if you come by bike, public transport or on two feet, it won’t cost you a penny, no matter how long you stay!
