Well it"s now 15 days and not a single bird on my feeders,, 1 blackbird took some seed off of the lawn last week but that"s it so far, except,,,
This couple have been up and down the close where I live for the past week and this morning their back, sitting in the rain.
Now there's a few cars up and down, and there"s 2 cats that live out nearly 24/7 so a bit concerned that they keep coming back and just sitting there.
I would"nt mind if they were nesting in the garden but out the front in the road, and as I say there's 2 cats roaming around nearly 24/7,, worries me a bit,,
Hi Alan,, they keep wandering off then coming back the next day and sit around for hours,, the "problem" is that I worried in case they either get run over or one of the cats get them,,
The cars should be a bigger worry than the cats, ducks are generally too big for cats to bother unless the cat is either very feral or very hungry
Hi Roland, the ducks obviously feel at home there... Sorry you haven't had any garden birds yet, but they will come eventually!
Best Wishes, Rosy
Hi Roland,
Sorry to hear that your garden birds haven't found your feeders yet, you've just got to wait!
The mallards are a little different! I agree with Rosy - they must feel at home! This is obviously (in their eyes) a nice place to rest.
