It was a bit cloudy on Monday, but there were enough sunny spells to get some good shots. Here are my favourites:A pristine male Orange-tip, my first of the year:And a Bee-fly stopping to sip nectar:

Wow Brian, that first photo is really stunning.......what a beautiful butterfly.

Very nice shots.
I was chasing an Orange-tip a couple of weeks ago during the warm weather but do you think it would settle. When it finally did all I got was a shot with closed wings.

Gorgeous shots Brian and TJ. I haven't seen a butterfly of any description this year as yet. Plenty of beautiful dandelions though!
Cheers, Linda.

Great photo Brian. Was at Ryemeads today watching an orange tip and it disappeared before our very eyes! It had alighted on ( I think a cow parsley plant) and with wings foldered from a distance of 3 feet looked just like a flower, and not out of place! The underside of the wings were perfect match for the flower.
