Hi Louise,, sorry for the late reply,, all work no play etc,etc,,
When I was putting the feeders up the seed feeder came apart and quite a bit of seed fell onto the ground, after restocking the feeder I simple brushed the other seed all over the garden and left it,,
Had nothing on the feeders as yet but have had a couple of really nice looking blackbirds feeding on the ground the last day or so,, hopefully just the start of things to come.
I know it will take a while for the birds to find the feeders and start using them, just have to be patient,,
Hi Alan,, yes having read that so many of you guys put out sunflower hearts I thought I"d give them a try,, there in the yellow feeder, the last in the line of 4,, just need some birds now,,, oh the waiting is killing me, ha,ha,,,,,
The sunflower hearts are the most popular in my garden too!
I hope that the wait isn't too bad! You could scatter a few seed on the ground, see if that helps attract some in. It will be good for your blackbirds you saw!
