At Rye Meads when do Lapwings and other waders breed, and in what hide?
Ah, Tweety that is an interesting question.
Well, usually lapwings will nest in Spring... but this year is going to be a strange one I think as some of the birds have already started their courting behaviour already! To see waders it's difficult to say what hide... they are wild birds so who knows, but usually the Draper hide is good to see waders in Spring adn Summer as this is a good scrape for the adults to feed.
Did that help at all?
