Spent about three hours on the reserve today with a party from the Hemel Hempstead Local Group. It was a pleasantly sunny afternoon but still blustery after a very wet and windy morning.
DRAPER HIDELots of Gadwall in the main part of the lagoon and many Teal in the pockets cut into the reedbed at the back. 4 Stock Doves on the grassy edge at the back of the lagoon.
GADWALL HIDE2 male Pintails upending at the back of the lagoon and 2 Shelduck.
Regrettably no Kingfisher, Water Rail or Water Vole but the visit was enjoyed by all.
