There is a Glossy Ibis on the HMWT Meadow at Rye Meads. It has been showing well moving around the area of short grass feeding in amongst the black headed gulls and  canada geese. The meadow is currently looking really good and is nicely flooded. This is the first record of Glossy Ibis at Rye Meads a realy treat.

We will be open from 8am wednesday 6 November for those of you who want to stop off on your way to work to see it.

Glossy Ibis by Richard Brooks (afraid the pictures i attempted to take of our bird really did not come out so i thought it best to offer you this lovely picture)

Life tick for me, yey!!!!! and apparently only the second or third record for Hertfordshire.

thanks
