Afternoon all... just a reminder about access arrangements for this impending weekend. I will be opening up at 0500 to allow early birders down to the Butts Hide and then remaining open until dark This will be the same for both days.
Today's Baillon's Crake sightings have been somewhat sporadic with our first no show in the morning but I suspect that it was down to the strong winds today. It did eventually give itself up to a few people on three occasions during the afternoon. Fingers crossed for the morning and remember that you are just over a mile from the centre but we have now plonked a portaloo down there to make life a little more comfortable.

just totted it up and over 2000 through the doors since the 7th which of course will include non crakey visitors but the majority are after the bird! Starting to flag now!
