Afternoon everyone,

Have you heard about Totally Thames?

Taking place for the first time throughout September 2014, Totally Thames is an exciting new, month-long celebration of the river across its 42 London miles. There's 100's of events and activities all along the Thames - and we’re taking part! We've got four walks throughout September - go to the events page for more.

Delivered by the same team behind the Mayor’s Thames Festival, this inaugural programme will feature arts, music and community festivals, colourful regattas, thrilling river races, foreshore archaeology, exploration, environmental and educational activities, as well as river-linked activities in all 17 London riverside boroughs.

Enter your photos into Thames Lens - Thames Festival Trust’s annual photo competition - for the chance to win some amazing prizes...

Brief – The Changing Thames
The Thames changes every minute, every day and every step you take along it. It is this ever-changing nature of the Thames that allows people to engage with it on so many different levels. We want to encourage people to experience London’s greatest natural asset in new and surprising ways. This year, Thames Festival Trust will commission, partner and promote activities in various locations between Hampton Court Palace in the west and the Dartford Crossing in the east. Keep in mind how the landscape of the Thames changes in all of its various ways and how people engage with it as a result.

Entries close by 5pm on Wednesday 1 October.

Give it a go - as part of the Thames you could use yo ur pictures from Rainham!
