As the tide slowly came in today the Dunlin swirled in and spent most of the afternoon wheeling around and around, settling of a while, preening, dozing and then something would spook the lot and off they would go once again. Thirteen Curlew were also to be found along with the usual Lapwings, Golden Plover and a handful of Redshank.

Like yesterday the solitary Avocet also appeared and glowed in the late afternoon sunshine.  We have now got our security camera linked into the screen in the centre and I can move it around and zoom in whatever I can see.  Today this included said Avocet....

and Terry R wanted to know if it was ok to tick it from the screen.....  sorry but I think not!

Meanwhile outside Trevor Oakley got a couple of good shots and also one of the Grey Plover that came in with the Redshank from its tideline feeding haunts.

The Water Rails showed very well with up to four out and about and the Marsh Harriers put on a good show as did the pair of Ravens.

This one by Jerry Hoare....

Lets hope for more photo opportunities tomorrow...
