The day started well with a Ring Ouzel just outside the centre at 0920 before zooming off towards the woodland... another late migrant. Stangely no winter thrushes at all today. Tony H found a Snow Bunting shortly afterwards on the path by the Butts Hide but it also did not linger. The Wednesday Walk went well despite the fog and we added Yellowhammer, Rock Pipits, dashing Peregrines, the immature male Marsh Harrier and a host of waders to the list although the Bearded Tits eluded us.  A Little Stint was seen this afternoon with the swirling Dunlin flocks while the sky was covered in Lapwings when the Peregrine zoomed through.

Avocets in a reverse 'V' formation!  Have not read the text books about aerodymanics!  (by me)

Non-coordinated Lapwings! (also by me!)
