On Saturday a Barnacle Goose appeared with the goose flock out on Wennington and I was pleased to pick it up quite early this morning as it flew in with the two White-fronted Geese which was a nice surprise. All three were around all day and could usually be seen from the visitors centre. Peregrine and Marsh Harrier both performed very well today and the shimmering Lapwing flocks were mesmerising.

The trails are still flooded and if anything the western trail alongside the mantlet by the toilets is getting deeper so Wellies are still a preferable choice!
