Will the rain ever stop?  It seems that we get a day of respite followed by a day of howling wind and rain. And after yesterday's glorious (but breezy) weather we are back in the murk with persistent rain and an ever strengthening wind. It has moved to the east today which is good but nothing has so far come in on the high tide bar the usual wader assortment. The Spotted Redshank has unusually made it two days on the trot and the Marsh Harriers, Sparrowhawk and Peregrine have been around despite the foul weather.

I saw three Redwing as I drove in this morning and Bill Crooks got a good shot the other morning in the same area.

The trails are still impassable without Wellies and it is very likely that the woodland trail will again be closed from later this afternoon and throughout tomorrow. As such I am cancelling the Kids Birdwatching Club tomorrow. Very sorry, but the forecast is not good.

I will update on here tomorrow if the situation changes....
