There is still a good chance of finding a young Cuckoo over the next couple of weeks especially as the Reed Dagger caterpillars start to emerge from their phragmites homes! This scarce moth is actually quite common at Rainham and its offspring provide young Cuckoos with a big energy boost for the long journey ahead.
