Hi everyone, I'm Graham - one of the Learning Assistants here at Rainham Marshes.

I am also a Forest School practitioner and I have begun running Sunday morning Forest School sessions here at Rainham Marshes, in the wildlife garden.

What’s Forest School, I hear you ask? Forest School is an inspirational process that offers learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on, small achievable learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees - in other words we run fabulous free fun hands on activities for children aged between 3-6 years old!

Here’s a link to the Forest School Association website if you’d like to investigate more into Forest School

On this Sunday’s session everyone had a great time gathering collections of natural objects in egg boxes and used them with hoops to play fun memory games and pattern making.

You can come along and join in too! We've got four more sessions if you would like to join us -

The sessions are aimed at three to six year olds, and they run whatever the weather, so appropriate clothing essential!

Booking is essential to ensure your place!  Call 01708 899851 or email rainham.marshes@rspb.org.uk to book.

Sundays - 9.45 to 10.30 am. 15, 22, 29 May and 5, 12, 19 June

On Sunday 29 May we are helping Old Mr Fox to find his tail by leaving him messages we make from natural materials!

On Sunday 5 June we are going to make trail sticks - by collecting sticks and creating stories about our adventures.

On Sunday 12 June we will be discovering different textures of the natural objects that we can find.

On Sunday 19 June we will make our own minibeast friends by painting pebbles!

These sessions are free but as a charity would would welcome any donations!
