This cracking shot from the other day slipped me by so I though I would post it now.... We have had a juvenile Avocet knocking around for some time now so this nice group of seven (including youngsters) was a great find by Clive Watts on the 8th although they did not linger and seem to have picked up the stray lost singleton and taken it back out of the river with them to probably join up with the huge East Tilbury wintering flock....
