but still managed to find a White-fronted Goose, Peregrine, Golden Plover and 64 Ring-necked Parakeets while working on reception!

The garden team reconstructed the bird feeding station outside the window today as it had taken quite a battering in the last few weeks with all the snow, wind and rain. The new and improved model is even more 'sticky' than the last one, leaving me with even more room for feeders and more perches for the attendant birds! They were all back within five minutes of the team finishing the job! I have now set them the task of making a bird bath that will look like a pile of logs... should be interesting and they like a challenge!

A Little Egret is now back with us full time (no, not working on reception) and has been dabbling for tiddlers in the channels on Purfleet Scrape. Speaking of which, I must take some more pictures of the new hide. Coming on in leaps and bounds now...

Little Egret (David Preston) It has already started to get its fluffy aigrettes on the mantle.
