Well, after the Biblical rain of the last 24 hours who would have expected such a glorious day with sunshine beaming down , barely a breath of wind and blue almost cloudless skies.

From my lofty viewpoint I have had a great views of the Ravens going about their business and one of the male Marsh Harriers has been quartering the meadows while the Peregrine had been making nature's biscuits (the Lapwings... everything snacks on them...) careening off in all directions.

There were 14 Pintail on the 'new' Purfleet Scrape this morning and I saw the Kingfisher zoom across it as a streak of shining blue.

Redwings have been showing well in the woodland and Cetti's Warblers have been conducting full song battles in the car park...

I hope that the weather holds and  I manage to get out this week....
