Almost back to normal.... Difficult day today with limited power (could not even make a cup of tea or use the loo!) but happy to say that we are basically up and running again for the weekend although we shall be restricting what power we are utilising and therefore the cafe will not be making any hot food hot chocolate or lattes and the like.  Tea, filter coffee, cake, snacks and cold drinks will be available though.

Thank you for your patience.

And on the bird front the 12 White-fronted Geese had a good fly round before heading east up the Mardyke Valley while at least 29 Dark-bellied Brent Geese arrived from the west before circling the reserve, re-orientating and heading back out of the Thames.  Which is exactly where a juvenile Kittiwake and four Red-breasted Mergansers went.

Surprise of the day was an adult Iceland Gull found by Kev on the south side as it headed up river.

Bearded Tits were heard and four Swallows reminded us of summer long gone...
