With so much water, the birds have been more dispersed than usual but as the tide came in the Lapwing and Golden Plover got together and performed their aerobatics with aplomb. About 1200 of the Slapwings and 129 (I counted them all...) of the Goldies...

The Peregrine has made a couple of sorties and one of the Marsh Harries was on the prowl. Snipe and Black-wits were seen out feeding and up on the landfill, Dom was lucky enough to find 15 Yellow-legged Gulls, four Caspian and a first-winter Iceland Gull. It is probably best to look at the tip from the foreshore east of the Concrete Barges carpark accesses off Coldharbour Lane.
Just about Parakeet O'clock now so will stick my head outside for a listen in the ever strengthening winds....
