A family friend, Reva Townend, found this old photo recently.

Reva belonged to the Dagenham Gun Club and they used to train on the Ranges here. Needlesstosay, Reva is the sole lady in the image which she thinks was taken in the late 1940's. From the railway, pylon and proximity of the houses I have been able to place the spot to the Rainham North section of the SSSI looking east towards the shooting butts that used to be there before the silt lagoons were built. I believe that the houses are in South Hall Drive and Eastwood Drive in Rainham Village. Hopefully Reva will be able to dig me out some more shots from this time.
