So.... a glorious day reaching 21c according to our weather station....

Not too bad a day if you kept your eyes open....another fly through ringtail Hen Harrier (Clive Watts, Paul & Janet Herridge), 8 Bearded Tit, 2 Corn Bunting, (Shaun Harvey) the daily Raven, m & f Marsh Harrier, 3 Peregrine, 2 Sparrowhawk, 3 Kestrels, juv Dark-bellied Brent Goose with the Greylags (thanks to Harry Lacey), 56 Golden Plover, 18 Curlew, 9 Stonechats, Grey Wagtail, the first Fieldfare, 12 Redwing, 15 Blackbird, 7 Song Thrush, 8 Mistle Thrush ....

And then there was the insects.... it was so warm today that the butterfly list was astonishing... Comma, Red Admiral, Peacock, Small Tort, Speckled Wood, Clouded Yellow, Brimstone, Holly Blue and Common Blue....

Blue butterflies on Halloween!!!! Nine species.....!!! and of course not forgetting the Migrant Hawkers and Common Darters along with Wasps still collecting wood for active nests, a Silver Y moth resting on the window and Dark Bush Crickets still chirping in the Cordite...

So just a final reminder that as of the 1st November (tomorrow) we close at 1630 and not 1700 until the 1st February.... have a great weekend...
