Spring- Summer 2016

A frustrating Spring in terms of the amount of time seeing our favourites... the nightingales. At first all looked good with at least two pairs of nightingales supporting fledglings - one nest on Adder Alley and one close to Fattengate (there may have been others nesting but we focused on these sites) - but then tragedy as it was apparent that both nests looked to have been predated as one day they were there and the next the adults had stopped feeding (and seemingly far to soon in the cycle for the young to have fledged) and from that day only the adult male was around.... and not for very long. Hopefully the adult males will be back next year and will be successful in their breeding then. On a positive note - some reasonable photographs of other wildlife...
