I thought our Local Group members might be interested to know how we fared in our two days of bag-packing in the Tesco Store - and the answer is exceedingly well!

Volunteers from our Group - and most of RSPB Orkney staff - all arrived as promised and worked hard on the task in hand with the result that the magnificent sum of £1305.28 was raised! This surpassed my expectations and I am grateful to all those who so willingly gave their time. I have attached a few photos from Saturday 6th October:

The complete list of volunteers was as follows:

(Friday) Grace Currie, Graham Brown, Alison Fiddler, Izzy Morgan, Lindsey Taylor, Tamsin McArthur, Sue Casely, Pauline Wilson, Brian Wright, Jean Wright, Alan Leitch, Doreen Sinclair, Sue Whitworth, Pat Sinclair, Thelma Irvine.

(Saturday) Kate Barrett, Anne Bignall, Pauline Wilson, Inga Seator, Sarah Sankey, Allan Way, Angela Way, Morag Wilson, Lorna Dow, Amy Malcolm, Andy Knight, Wendy Adams, Paul Hollinrake, Julian Branscombe, Jenny Dewar.

Many thanks to everybody!

All the money will be used for local conservation in Orkney, plus the £514.43 raised during bag-packing at the Co-op in May. A grand total of £1819.71 from our small Orkney Group!
