Hi Everybody

Ian Cunningham has sent me more great photos - two of a grey phalarope at Newark. It's not too many years ago that there was a grey phalarope in the same spot and I was lucky enough to get photos and a lovely little film of the bird. I'll let Ian explain things:

Hi Pauline,
Found this grey Phalarope down at the slip at Newark this afternoon.  These tiny birds are nearly always out at sea and get blown in towards land I guess when we get persistent onshore winds like the Sourth easterlies we have had this week.  I have also added a nice red breasted merganser.
Enjoy! Ian

I have been holding on to a couple more of Ian's photos which I'll send out, hopefully over the weekend, with a 'Latest Happenings' including news of exciting new projects for our Local Group.

Best wishes

Pauline W/Local Group Sec.
