I’ve been experimenting with the trail camera again, this time at Brodgar. I had this ambition to get some photos with hares with the ring of Brodgar in the background. So I set up the camera at one spot with the infra red trigger on and left it for a few days to see what would happen….

The first results were a little disappointing, although I did get one photo with a hare in it, the majority were on walkers or their dogs doing what dog do on dog walks!

I wasn’t giving up though and moved the camera to a different spot and got much better if slightly tantilising results!

Some of the skies are amazing and there were also a lot of walkers, one person seems to have a regular route past the camera position. I'll finish with the best one - a brown hare in the sunset. Next is to try capturing some video…
