RSPB Medway Local Group Photography Competition

We are pleased to announce that the RSPB Medway Local Group will be holding a Photography Competition again this year. The theme is 'Birds on the Reserves' so any genuinely wild bird on any recognised RSPB, BTO, or Wildlife Trust property in the UK can be entered. The competition will be open to any member of the RSPB Medway Local Group. Entrants will be allowed to submit a maximum of four images and they must be entirely their own work. We will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, with winners receiving a certificate signed by the group leader or even a small prize if we can rustle up some sponsorship

All entries must be submitted no later than 31 July 2017 via email to saunders303@hotmail.com. Please include your name, age, name of bird photographed, date and place of photograph. Adrian Thomas (author and Lodge Hill Campaign Manager) and Jodie Randall (professional local photographer) have kindly agreed to be on our Judging Panel. The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entertained from unsuccessful or successful entrants. Should there be 12/13 photos of sufficient quality entered into the competition we will consider compiling them into a calendar (or even Christmas cards is a possibility) for sale at a later date. Entrants wishing to have their images considered for any subsequent calendar/card must ensure they are submitted in landscape format and are at least 1600 x 1200 dpi (2 mega pixels). This is to ensure that they will fit neatly into a template with no loss of resolution or quality. If you have any questions regarding this competition please contact David Saunders at saunders303@hotmail.com or via 07788 202 445.
